It was a perfect late spring day to take family portraits at Stocksdale Park in Liberty, MO. Sunny, 72 degrees, and not a lot of wind. The park was beautiful and not over-populated for such a nice day outside. We have had great weather in 2025 in the Kansas City area!

This was a fun and special family session for me. I had the honor of photographing my daughter and her beautiful family. Not only are they amazing people to work with, but I also get to capture some sweet and perfect moments of my grandies! One of my most favorite subjects to photograph are younger kids. I get to capture their genuine emotions and all the fun they have. There’s nothing better than this! Don’t get me wrong. I do enjoy photographing people in general. Emotions, things they enjoy individually and as a group or family, special moments, etc. That is what I enjoy most about this!

They wanted some special photos taken of them and their kids. They also wanted to include a little one that tragically passed early in life. There were moments of both fun and serious portraits. We also got a lot of fun photos of my grandson enjoying his parents and little sister. Being able to narrow down so many good photos is especially hard when it’s your family. I tend to take numerous shots at a time for each pose, just in case someone blinks, turns, or moves, etc.

Below are just some of the highlights from their session. Everyone had a great time, and the session was a success!
